How to Fix a Flat Bicycle Tire - Downloadable instructions

I did this super fun collaboration with Common Cycle — an incredible group of cycling advocates here in Ann Arbor. They have worked with our local public library system to make a bicycle repair kit available for checkout at all Ann Arbor libraries. For the kits, I created this little comic about Dog fixing a flat. If Dog can do it, so can you!!

You're free to use and remix this flyer however you like, just be sure to leave the "About this Flyer" section. The flyer is sized for printing on 8.5 x 11" paper, in a landscape orientation. Let me know if you need black and white. And please leave a comment to let me know where you're using it — in your own city's bike co-op, as a handout for a cycling advocacy event, as a sheet to give to customers at your bike shop, or just keeping it in your backpack for yourself.

The Flyer in Action

Yesterday, the flyer was put to the test! University of Michigan's Women in Science and Engineering's summer camp for middle school girls had a workshop on how to fix a flat tire, and the girls used the instruction sheet to fix their own flats. Here's a (blurry) photo of the activity:
